Visitors from 'Afar'.

Geoff and Muriel, and Chris and Marilyn had travelled all the way from distant Leyland to call in to see us. To be fair, they didn't come
especially to see us, they were actually on holiday in the area and called in, but never the less it was really nice to see them.

Unfortunately the weather was, to say the least, not the best, so they could not be treated to a ride around our track. Between showers
they did at least manage a walk around so know a little of our layout. They had, of course, seen the pictures on our website but, as ever,
it is better 'in the flesh' so to speak. It is such a shame that they couldn't experience a ride around. They have promised to bring an engine
next time and in return, we will try to arrange much better weather.

However, the fire was lit, and the clubhouse was nice and warm so we did manage to drink lots of tea and biscuits
that members wives had kindly sent in. Thus fortified we were then able to discuss protected species of newts, mutual friends, tracks visited
and generally put the world to rights - as you do.

We, the members of Pembrokeshire Model Engineers, would like to say 'Thank you' to Geoff, Muriel, Chris and Marilyn for comming to lighten
our day. It was really nice to see you. We are looking forward to the next time.
